Well in a day and a half I will leave this Island for almost 2 months. It is very hard to believe that almost a whole year has gone by. But in truth it has! So I guess I need to write about the crazy last two week of school and how I am occupying my time till I get back to Idaho. I am really exited about going back for the summer.
So anyway The second to last week we we had a pretty normal week the only crazy thing about it really was that on Friday we had quiz day.
So anyway for the next week on Monday we had a pretty normal day except the fact that David had a Birthday so we had a party for him in the afternoon consisting in cake and Ting for a drink. And then Tuesday we did all of our last test for the year. Ya!! Then in the afternoon Pastor Kendall and his wife Ginger brought in Ice cream. It was a nice way to end the working part of the school year. Wednesday we kinda of just had a party at school and just in general had a good day. Thursday was a half day were we cleaned up school and then had Awards Night in the evening. Friday we had beach day where all the kids packed unto the truck or a bus and were carted down to the beach. And then it kinda rain a few times but we were blessed that it didn't rain the whole time. Although the truck ride up was quite a trial...trying to keep the tarps in place as we drove. It was all of the younger students in the truck so it was that more dramatic. That evening we had a senior youth night up at the court and played football and James had a short devotional. There wasn't that many attendees beside staff that night but it was still fun. Saturday we went to the pool (meaning Natalie Josh and Becky who Natalie was babysitting for the day since the rest of the family was hiking mount St. Katherine before they left. Then Amanda, and me. We also met some of the Limes girls there too.) and I caught my last few rays of sun before heading back.
.................I am now on my first flight back to the states. I have rather mixed feelings about all of this. I am not exited about the Looong day ahead of me but I am ready to see all the people back home. But yet I am going to miss Grenada! I didn't know how much it grew on me till a few days ago when i was looking at going back for Holiday ( what we call Summer Vacation since there isn't what you call summer in Grenada) The friendliness of complete strangers and I don't know all of my students and other people in the community I am def. going to miss!
So anyway a few things that have happened since School let out ..We are having a VBS up in Willis were we have had one night crusade and one day kids VBS type things. But now we are doing a 5 day VBS. The people up there are so much friendlier and the kids are so sweet. It is a poor place def. But anyway I was only able to attend 2 days of that. And then did last min. shopping and played v-ball one night. So ya...It's crazy to think ahead to what I will be doing in the US. It feels so far away. Like I will be attending a wedding this weekend!! Crazy rapping your mind around that. But I will quit babbling and show you my pics.
